Adopt-a-Spot

Dear Parishioners,

Interested in helping keep St. Luke's lawn and garden in pristine condition? Perhaps you might consider adopting a section of the yard. It would be your own personal space to keep clean and looking pretty. There are several choices from  a corner of the Memorial Garden, the spot by the front door, to the area along the back fence and more. We have the perfect spot depending on your gardening and/or lawn care expertise.

We have received permission to work outdoors at the church as long as we remain safe, which includes distancing and mask wearing.  Last year Jason initiated Adopt-a-Plot by sectioning off the grounds and having folks sign up to maintain/improve a section.

The building will remain closed, so bathrooms will not be available, however I will put a faucet handle on the spigot in the memorial garden so water will be available.  We will provide lawn/leaf bags at the front door to carry trash to the dumpster if you don't have a cart or wheelbarrow. Mother Krista will be in touch with volunteers to reflect on ways our care of the church may be prayerful. And of course, she would love to have pictures for use in Morning Prayer!

Once the signup has been completed, I will circulate the participant list with phone numbers and e-mails so that we may contact those on adjacent plots in order to apprise them of when we will be working there and thus easily maintain a safe distance.

The map attachment below illustrates the sections, and the signup sheet indicates which sections remain to be claimed.  Please respond by phone or e-mail to Ed Gregori as soon as possible so that we may fill in the signup sheet and get underway.
