Practice Prayer

What is prayer to you? How do you pray?

Often when we think of prayer, we all have different ideas of how to do it, or what prayer is. There are many traditions of prayer practice in the Church that have been handed on for generations. This fall we will seek to practice prayer in different ways together. Some will be in person, some online. Some will last for ten minutes others for an hour. Try a practice out once, or try it many times. There are also ongoing weekly opportunities for certain types of prayer practice. Join us to practice prayer in these different ways, deepen your relationship with faith and develop friendships along the way.

Walking Meditative Prayer in Creation

Wednesdays September 19 and November 10,  5-6pm Fossil Creek Park In our culture we are constantly on the go. We move as quickly as we can from one place to another, count as many steps as we can on our fitbits and maximize productivity at work. In Walking Meditative Prayer we intentionally do the opposite. After a short reading of scripture we will walk very slowly and quietly. It is a wonderful time to listen to birds, notice changes in nature and pray. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
