St. Luke's Food Drive
Saturday, April 3 - during Communion Pick Up
10 - 11am St. Luke's Parking Lot
St. Luke's will collect food for the Food Bank again on Saturday, April 3. This is a simple and important way to make sure that people in our community are cared for and fed. You may donate in one of two ways:
Leave food in the church parking lot when you pick up communion Saturday the 3rd between 10 and 11am.
Sign up for communion delivery on April 3 and leave your donation outside your front door for your communion driver to pick up.
The best non-perishable foods to donate:
canned beans
dry beans
peanut butter, or other nut butters
rolled oats
canned fruit in juice, not in light or heavy syrup
canned vegetables, with no or low-sodium
low-sodium soups w/protein
canned tuna in water
canned chicken
brown rice
quinoa
nuts, unsalted
seeds, unsalted
shelf stable milk and milk substitutes
whole grain pasta
low-sodium pasta sauce
popcorn kernels (not microwave popcorn)
canned stews
unsweetened apple sauce

Additional tips:
Canned goods with pop-top lids are better than canned goods that require a can opener.
Avoid foods packaged in glass.
Do not donate foods that are past the expiration date.
Because of you, someone will eat today.
