Guest Artist Opening Reception: Jules Gillen

Join us for a reception welcoming our new guest artist Jules Gillen and her show titled: Coming Home, My Childhood Altar

Come meet this very special artist. All Welcome.

Jules Gillen: "When asked to speak to my work I generally say I create altars as a way of storytelling and self-nurturing.

The altars can be installation pieces such as the ones featured at the Loveland Museum or smaller including jewelry or individual self-standing pieces.

Example of hanging altar with found objects and crystallized flowers and cicadas. Crystals are grown in a bath of moon water infused with rose quartz."

About Jules: Once upon a time there was a little girl who liked to cut and paste. She saw things in the sunshine and the shadows that other people never seemed to notice. She bounced all that wonderfulness around inside her head for a bit and out popped magical pieces of art that told her story when words couldn't.

Jules makes her home in Loveland, CO and is the owner of Juiced on Imagination, an Expressive Art Therapy Studio where she uses artmaking to help guide children, adults and families through a creative process of self-expression enabling them to express themselves when words fail.
