Youth Mission Trip 2017 (Guest Column)

This week our combined youth group from St. Luke’s and St. Paul’s will join together on our annual summer mission trip.

Mission Trip 2017, our second, is a culmination of a year of fellowship, service and worship.

We have several mission projects through the year that culminate this week. Our service projects for the mission trip are:
·  The youth will begin their mission work by landscaping at St. Luke’s (Last year we worked at St. Paul’s.).
· At FoCo Café, we will donate and install our “utensil” wind chimes that the youth created and provide additional work as needed.
· Then, the youth will plant native seedlings at Rocky Mountain National Park, joining in the Park’s Revegetation Program. Last year we planted over 600 plants.  We hope to see our work from last year growing and thriving.
·  Our Youth will support and make our VBS program (June 20th-23rd) possible—and more fun with their efforts and presence.
Our youth will bond through a variety of settings this week, in being away from home, in working on a variety of projects and joining in a team building class at the YMCA of the Rockies.
Through it all, our youth will grow in faith each day, breathing in God’s air in the mountains and in worship at the Y’s outdoor chapels.
The youth appreciate your continuing prayers and financial support as they embark on this week of service, fellowship and worship.
