Coming Out as People of Faith

The Vestry and clergy have recently reflected on whether St. Luke's is being called to become a "Believe Out Loud" church, that is, a church which openly welcomes Christians who identify themselves as LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, etc.). The Believe Out Loud program of the wider Episcopal Church starts with a process where there is a time of discernment for the congregation, so that we can explore together how our church could be a more welcoming community.

This Sunday, February 26 at 9:30 a.m. in the Library: Dina Strong Grimmett returns to lead us deeper in conversation about scripture and same-sex relationships in our Episcopal tradition.

We invite all parishioners, family members, friends and neighbors to join in this journey of sacred conversation, reflection and discernment. We welcome your leadership during this time! If you are interested in learning more about our Believe Out Loud process, please contact Nicole Vieira or Ed Gregori.

Please keep St. Luke's ever in your prayers, as we continue in this sacred time of discernment!

Each week the Rector or the Associate Rector will focus on how God is continuing to call St. Luke's into new life in Christ.
